How BetterPoints and Active Norfolk are keeping me fitter since my heart attack

We like to bring you stories from BetterPoints users who are using the app to make positive changes to their lives, and earning rewards while they do so. Recently I heard from Nigel who is in the ‘Pushing Ahead Norfolk’ programme.

Nigel has earned over 10,000 BetterPoints for being more active and has already rewarded himself with a Sainsbury's giftcard

Here is what he said about discovering BetterPoints and the positive impact it's had on his health and wellbeing:

"Since joining the BetterPoints programme I have found it an excellent incentive to get out, walk and generally keep active. I had a heart attack 5½ years ago and after recuperating started to get out as much as possible and got involved with 'Active Norfolk' at the gym. That then led me on to join the BetterPoints programme which is a really good way of tracking the time and distance walked every day. The points reward system is a big incentive to do more and more.

Nigel also went on to say how this has helped both him and his wife to be more active too:

Even on holidays my wife and I still walk as much as possible, the map tracking is very useful especially when a local map is not available. The app is really easy to use as it tracks automatically and updates itself and the reward feature is always something worth saving up for." - Nigel from Norwich
