Adapting to change in 'Pushing Ahead'

30 March 2020

We like to bring you stories from BetterPoints users who are using the app to make positive changes to their lives and earning rewards. Recently I spoke to Laura who is in the ‘Pushing Ahead Norfolk’ challenge.

"I was introduced to the Pushing Ahead Norfolk challenge in April last year.  A colleague encouraged fellow staff members to download the app and compete against our offices in the 'Spring into Action - Workplace challenge.'  This encouraged us all get active in our lunch breaks etc and earn rewards. I recommended the app to all my family and friends because I loved it so much.

Since then it's been a bit addictive, it has motivated me to walk or cycle to work most days. When the workplace challenges are on I have been going on another walk to earn lots of points for my team. Plus, it has motivated me to go for even longer walks to earn more tickets too.

I think it’s a really good app, what a great incentive to start doing something new and earn some vouchers. I have earned an Asda and a Primark voucher so far, it’s great!

We also asked Laura how she is coping with the change in Government guidance on exercise during the Covid-19 crisis...

Me and my boyfriend are both classed as key workers, so we are still going out to work, but have been social distancing.

We’ve been staying in most days but went for a walk this evening,  no one was about and we kept our distance as per the Government guidelines. These are such tough times, we definitely feel better for stretching our legs and getting some fresh air, let’s hope this continues. - Laura M, Norfolk

Big thanks to Laura for sharing this with the BetterPoints community. We are very proud to work for a company that makes such a difference to people's lives through using the app.
